problems with mySQL
« on: February 03, 2009, 18:17:22 »
Hi!
I have problems with mySQL, I don't know exactly what is it, I've never used coppermine before. And should I download imagemagick ? And how ? I have filezilla, which I used to download coppermine into my site but now I'm stuck in Coppermine installation. It keeps getting saying "MySQL error was : Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: YES)"

I would really appreciate your help !  :)

Hi Ella,

The easiest way to install Coppermine would be to use Fantastico De Luxe, which is located in your Cpanel.

Make sure you delete all the files you already uploaded in the public_html directory.

Then go to Cpanel, click on Fantastico De Luxe, and select Coppermine from the sidebar.

Follow the few steps and you should be done.

Any further questions just let me know :)

Thank so much, it worked !
But now I have another problem, see I am changing html-codes of my gallery, and there is Last additions and Random files twice, and I don't know how I could get them away :(

I only see the Random Files and Last Additions once on your gallery.

Did you fix it already?

Oh, and if you could use our banner code rather than ones from somewhere else that would be great:

And your gallery also appears to be the wrong version. Did you re-upload older files?

You should always use the latest version to avoid being hacked and losing pictures.

Any other questions let me know :)

You can download the latest coppermine from here:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89658

And no, you shouldn't lose any current content with an upgrade. :)
